And by that I mean Paris, France, not Paris Hilton or Paris from The Gilmore Girls (although I do also love Paris from The Gilmore Girls). I told K that perhaps I was Parisian in another life because everytime I’m there I always feel inexplicably at home.
The weather in Paris this weekend was gorgeous and I had a wonderful time with Karine, Lish, Daria and Natascha. There’s so much to see in Paris and even though I’ve been there a few times already, I’ve yet to see even a fraction of the city.
This time around we made it to Notre Dame and the CLUNY Museum (which I kept calling the George CLUNY museum), stepped inside the Conciergerie (the prison where Marie-Antoinette was kept), and enjoyed the view from Montmartre (which should look familiar to anyone that’s seen Amelie). Inside the church, we listened to nuns singing, then had dinner outside.
Sunday, we climbed to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower (the top floor was closed due to an excess of people) and afterwards had a picnic by the Louvre.
It was a really good weekend (Photos after the cut).
I hope Lish & co. had a great rest of their stay in Paris. We parted ways on Sunday afternoon because K and I had a train to catch to Vichy.
And now we’re back in Lyon, where the beautiful weather has followed us home. How was your weekend?
