Okay, I wasn’t really in outer space, but if I had been in outer space, I would now be back from there (and would likely have more interesting stories to share).
Alas, I was not in outer space. I did, however, have lunch in a castle last week, which is just as cool as it sounds. The food was orgasmic.
Along with the food, there was a lot of wine-drinking, cheese-eating, and living la vida francesa, which pretty much involves a lot of drinking, eating and talking about drinking and eating.
Yesterday, there was IKEA furniture-building, and now I have a shiny new desk top (black) and a shiny new bookcase (black) and now everything is BLACK (
like my soul).
This week my goal is to get back into productivity mode. The past couple of months have been kind of crazy. Not crazy bad, just crazy busy; life busy, rather than work busy. Things are still busy, but hopefully a little less crazy, and I’m optimistic that they will settle down for a week or two before inevitably getting crazy all over again.
Tomorrow – finally – I will start Rayne: The Third Seer which is exciting and a little nervewracking, but mostly exciting.
I am still accepting requests from people wishing to partake in the beta reading process. All you have to do is email me and tell me to include you once I have something to include you in. There will be a cut-off date eventually, but for now anyone that wants to can join in.
In my quest to Do Stuff That Matters (a.k.a. Be Productive) I’ll be re-launching the Rayne blog/site this week so there will be more info over there. I think. There will be something over there. Maybe cookies.
In related news, the next Las Aparicio recap will be up on Friday. In fact, unless otherwise stated, recaps will be up every Friday from now until the end of time (which is about how long it will take me to catch up).
I shall leave you with some book recommendations, because they were awesome and I like to share awesome books:
- The Stepsister Scheme by Jim C. Hines – This is book #1 in the Princess series. Basically Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty team up to kick ass and take names. One of them is a lesbian in love with one of the others. I won’t tell you who.
- The Mermaid’s Madness by Jim C. Hines – Book #2
- Red Hood’s Revenge by Jim C. Hines – Book #3
Affiliate Note: If you buy the books using those links I will soon become a millionaire and retire on a mansion by the sea and you can all come watch lesbian movies with me on my big screen TV. But if you’re not into that, just go to amazon.com. You can still come over and watch lesbian movies with me, though.
